When the Moon Hits Your Eye

First off, this is not a novel. It is a collection of vignettes incited by a crazy thing that happens to the moon. They are very nearly not connected otherwise.

The vignettes themselves ranged in quality (or at least how they hit me) from irritating to poignant. The 4 or so that were in the latter category were very good. The others were less so. Mostly not complete write-offs, as Scalzi's line-by-line writing is generally entertaining, but the book would've been stronger without them.

So I was entertained overall, but don't go out of your way.
