Decadent Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

1⅔ c flour combine beat stir bake 8-10 minutes at 375°F cool first on sheets, then on racks
⅓ c cocoa
1 t baking soda
½ t salt
1 c butter cream
¾ c lightly packed brown sugar
½ c granulated sugar
1 egg
1 t vanilla
297 g dark chocolate chips  
1¼ c (~130 g) coarsely chopped pecans (optional)
  1. Whisk together flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  2. Cream butter and sugars with egg and vanilla.
  3. Add flour mixture to butter mixture and beat until combined.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.
  5. Drop by tablespoons onto cookie sheets.
  6. Bake at 375°F for 8-10 minutes or until set.
  7. Cool for 5 minutes on sheets, then transfer to racks and cool completely.

Yield: 2½ dozen
